I’m a full stack developer at CabCard Services on the Isle of Man, where I’ve worked since 2023 on a payments platform that handles millions of transactions a year.

I like taking loosely defined requirements through to maintainable, tested releases, and I’m happiest close to the backend: data models, integrations and the operational side of running a system.

Payments platform work in a PCI DSS regulated environment: the gateway services behind millions of transactions a year, and the device SDKs and SoftPOS apps around them.

  • Building a new multi-tenant gateway platform for hosting other payment facilitators and PSPs, with ISO 20022 (nexo) messaging throughout.
  • Designed and built its terminal management component, which delivers software and configuration updates to card readers in the field.
  • Led EMV Level 3 (Visa and Mastercard) certification for a new family of payment devices, and built the Android and iOS SDKs, sample apps and documentation for them.
  • Built SoftPOS apps, including migrating a React Native Android app to a SoftPOS SDK implementation now in production.
  • Delivered compliance and risk features: PEP and sanctions monitoring, and duplicate and high-value transaction monitoring that alerts merchants within the hour rather than after a manual review, so refunds happen before chargebacks.

Mobile-first casino and idle game, built as a PWA

A Vue 3 and TypeScript progressive web app with three games sharing one chip economy: Blackjack, European Roulette and an idle clicker. Designed mobile-first, installable to the home screen and playable offline, with a desktop layout that adapts the same screens.

The screenshots are the baseline images from the project's own screenshot regression tests.

  • Every bet, payout and purchase is persisted to IndexedDB with compound indexes for filtered, paginated history.
  • Achievements and levelling sit on top of the games, and the clicker calculates offline earnings from the last-seen timestamp when the app is reopened.
  • Localised in English and Hungarian with vue-i18n, with a locale parity test so translation keys cannot drift.
  • CI runs type-checking, Vitest unit tests, axe-core accessibility checks on every route, and screenshot regression tests across iPhone SE, iPhone 14, Pixel 7 and desktop viewports.

Freelance client project: a dashboard for a set of automated trading tools, with subscription billing and account management.
